Myself and my wife, Sacha, had a lovely detached two story house in a very nice neighbourhood, we both had steady full-time jobs, we lived in the historic city of York, went to restaurants on weekends, saw friends and family every week and lived the good life. So obviously it was time to move to Canada.
I am 28 years old and having procrastinated to find a job that was anything other than comfortable for the last few years, we finally made the decision to gamble and roll the dice. I applied for Canadian residency and quit my job in order to get it. Fortunately for me it has been granted and now my adventure begins. But first we must visit my Wife’s family in the USA before we settle our roots.
I have no idea what career direction I shall go, and am open to new experiences, I just hope to enjoy the ride getting there.
You have embarked on quite an adventure, leaving behind the predictable and comfortable life you had. Thanks for the follow!
Sometimes you just got to take that leap of faith, right?! Good for you and good luck!!
Thanks for visiting our blog 🙂
Hi. Thanks for following my blog. Looking forward to reading your entries. Whatever you do, I know you’ll be great. You and your wife enjoy… wherever your journeys take you. 🙂
Thank you Yeru, and I hope you are right!
Cheers to a new life chapter!
Thanks, cheers!
The beginning of an adventure always has that great mix of electricity: breaking from the routine and walking into the unknown. Very cool, and and enjoy the journey!
Yes it is exciting times for sure. Thanks.
I think the best experience in life lie right outside your comfort zone! Congrats on the big move (literally and figuratively!) 😀
Thanks, yes we are definitely challenging ourselves.
I am in a similar situation with feeling settled and happily stable and deciding for some unknown reason to uproot us and move to a new location…though not to another country, I grant you. It’s exciting, an adventure, but also has some very difficult moments when you question your sanity, I know. You seem to have a great perspective and here’s hoping you have a great new chapter in your book of life!
Thank you, yes it is certainly exciting times when you follow through with an idea to move. I hope yours works out for you too.
